Predator-Prey Simulation in JavaScript
Méry, Jozef ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
Študovanie populácie organizmov je veľmi užitočná oblasť výskumu. Dokáže pomôcť s predpovedaním, porozumením a možným zachovaním populácií.

A simulation based analysis of price elasticity of demand
Kubišta, Michal ; Stráský, Josef (advisor) ; Červinka, Michal (referee)
i Abstract In this work, we describe a novel methodology to analyse the price elasticity of demand. This method combines an artificial neural network that serves as the model of the behaviour of the customers and a subsequent simulation based on this model. We present the validation of our approach using a real-world dataset obtained from an e-commerce retailer and demonstrate its advantages, notably the ability to estimate the elasticity in distinct price points and the inclusion of the complete pricing situations (not only product's own price). Agent-Based Model of the Software Market
Bureš, Michal ; Kukačka, Jiří (advisor) ; Klinger, Tomáš (referee)
In this thesis we apply agent-based modelling methodology on the software market. We derive and implement an original model of the market as the research in this field seems negligible. The work focuses mainly on the derivation of the model and explanation of the methodology. Specific features of the software market are discussed and presented as assumptions of the model. Based on these principles we construct a model of the software market with complex customer behaviour. In the end we test our model in an application we developed solely for this purpose. Responses of the model to dynamic modifications of individual parameters are tested using the application. A simple case scenario in which we apply the model on the dynamic market of game engines is presented. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Applying System Dynamics and Agent-based Modelling in Archaeological Simulation
Olševičová, K. ; Danielisová, Alžběta
We apply the social simulation to the cultural milieu of the late Iron Age in Central Europe and its economic strategies, especially on the subsistence and the carrying capacity of the settlement agglomeration in relation to the daily economic needs of its inhabitants. By means of the computational models of the economics of the particular central settlement (Staré Hradisko oppidum) and its hinterland we aim to verify hypotheses about the economic sustainability in case self-supplying is applied. To achieve this, the agent-based modelling, cellular automata approach and system dynamics modelling are used. In the paper we present four alternative scenarios of population dynamics (baseline and three versions of depopulation) and four alternative scenarios of food production and agricultural practices (baseline and three types of external events). The set of models for all scenarios was implemented in NetLogo and Stella. Outputs of the models are subject of interests of archaeologists and according to their feedback the models will be refined and extended.
Fuzzy Methods in Land Use Modeling for Archaeology
Machálek, T. ; Cimler, R. ; Olševičová, K. ; Danielisová, Alžběta
The general objective of our research is to develop the complex agentbased simulation of ancient Celtic society population, food production and economics. To achieve this we proposed the agent-based agricultural model of land suitability for miscellaneous farming systems. The behaviour of agents is controlled by a fuzzy rule-based system. The system encodes farmers' agricultural knowledge as regards the decision where to apply specific farming method. Corresponding linguistic variables describe (1) the distance of individual land patches from the household, (2) the slope of the land, (3) the yield of individual land patches and (4) total harvest as a percentage of inhabitants' annual nutritional requirement. To prevent high-frequency spatial changes in land suitability caused by time-dependent stochastic nature of the crop yields, our model performs result smoothing using spatial signal filtering.
Modeling projects work
Sekerka, Radko ; Burian, Jan (advisor) ; Kvasnička, Michal (referee)
In this thesis we present model of the human work process on projects using multi-agent model. Within the project management plan is carried out comparisons with the fact not only in the context of subsequent checks, but also in the course of the project. One of the most item is cost of human resources. To increase efficiency and control over the actual cost to introducing a range of organizations link the accounting system to a system of reporting work. Such a system registry of the work is not only complex, but also demanding in terms of managing the time gap between the creation of estimates and their own work. In general, there may be several variants of complications such as delay work on the project because of inaccurate estimates of job performance and therefore insufficient funds in the accounts sections and stages of the project. The aim of this work is to find the characteristics of such projects for which this system work. In the first part we are addressed basic theoretical assumptions for modeling work in the field of project management and multi-agent modeling. Next part relates to the creation of multi-agent model, including detailed characteristics and verification. At the end of this research are described a several experiments with the model and analysis results.
